Belly Fat Cure Background

Jorge Cruise, who is also the author of The 3 Hour Diet, has launched his new book called The Belly Fat Cure. Cruise advocated a diet based on Carb Swap System, that will help the dieters lose their belly fat by four to nine pounds in a week. The book has entered New York Times bestselling list.

Jorge Cruise is a celebrity fitness trainer. His advocated Carb Swap system is swapping the sugar and processed carbohydrate intake with foods that will help cutting down the belly fat such as proteins and brown rice. By minimizing sugar and carbohydrate intake, the insulin level of the body will be controlled and hence, no extra fat will be collected on your belly, making it slimmer.

He advocates that counting calorie intakes or exercising is not going to have an effective result on your belly. You can reduce it just by eating the right kind of food.

Belly Fat Cure Basics

Belly Fat Cure DietThe Belly Fat Cure aims to keep the insulin levels in the body in balance by cutting sugar intake. The basic concept behind this is that high insulin levels make the liver convert extra sugar into fat, which is generally stored in the belly. So, by cutting down sugar and maintaining insulin balance in the body, you ensure there is no excess sugar that can be stored as fat in your belly.

In this, you are allowed to consume about 15 grams of sugar and six servings of carbohydrates every day. You do not necessarily have to count your calorie intake but you are required to follow the Carb Swap System and focus on to the types of food you are having.

The Belly Fat Cure is based on intake of fats, vegetable, proteins with a very small amount of grains and sweets. Processed foods that have artificial sweeteners in them are advised to be completely avoided.

Exercise Recommendation

The Belly Fat Cure does not recommend exercises strictly to lose weight. However, it does mention the benefits of exercises such as reducing stress and strengthening of body. The program recommends 20 minutes of walk along with eight-minute workout involving abdominal exercises but does not enforce it. It is optional for the dieter to go for this.

Recommended Foods

Some types of food included in this diet program are lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, avocado, almonds, pecans, olive oil, sugar free maple syrup, walnuts, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, brown rice, cheese, eggs, seafood, beef and blueberries and blackberries in fruits.

Belly Fat Cure Sample Meal Plan

A sample diet plan from the program would include a breakfast of three eggs along with two slices of bread with butter. A cup of coffee can be included in the breakfast. A handful of nuts can also be taken in morning snack.  For lunch, the diet program recommends tuna salad along with pita bread. For beverages, you can have a glass of ice tea with lemon. Make sure that the ice is not sweetened. For dinner, the diet program advises grilled chicken with half a cup of brown rice. You can also include sautéed vegetables along.

Along with this, the dieters are asked to drink a minimum of eight glasses of water each day. The diet plan allows taking wine, champagne or beet but prohibits intake of cocktails, fruit juice or milk. No fruits are allowed on this diet plan except blueberries and blackberries as they have little sugar content. Once you reach your target in weight loss, you can include few pieces of fruits in your every day diet.

Cost and expenses

The Belly Fat Cure: Discover the New Carb Swap System and Lose 4 to 9 lbs. by Jorge Cruise is available at amazon.com for $9.97.

Pros

The Belly Fat Cure encourages the dieter to take vegetables as well as whole grains to some extent. The diet plan is quite easy to understand and thus quite simple to follow. This increases the chances of you sticking to the plan for a long time. The diet plan also focuses on reducing belly fat and thus will suit dieters whose main motive is to decrease belly fat only.

Belly Fat Cure gives a detailed food list along with their sugar and carbohydrate information. The diet plan also includes recipes and detailed meal plan. Many dieters like to have recipes and meal plans to follow as this makes their work easier in looking for things that suit their diet plan. Planning and choosing meals become relatively easier for the dieters.

Cons

The recipes provided in the Belly Fat Cure do not mention nutritional information along with it. Besides, the meal plans included in the program have high saturated fat. Also, the diet keeps you off fruits completely except some berries. Fruits are source of some important vitamins and our body can be deprived of them by lesser intake of fruits.

Further, food items that have been recommended may be expensive and difficult to procure. The diet program also recommends limited exercises and thus does not encourage much physical activity. Thus, the program concentrates only on losing weight and not a complete package for maintaining good health.

Also, the fact about emotional eating and other psychological factors leading to overeating are not considered in this diet program.

Conclusion

The Belly Fat Cure claims to help you lose between 4 to 9 pounds in one week. Though you might reach this level, but to continue losing weight so heavily might not be so healthy for the body. Hence, it is advisable that you control the diet and its effect on you more sensibly. Also, the result can differ from person to person so do not make unrealistic expectations from this claim of the book.

Belly Fat Cure diet program is very similar to other low carbohydrate diet plans. Dieters will experience weight loss initially but to maintain the weight regular monitoring of your diet is required. Hence, it is important that you keep yourself motivated. It is also advised that you include some physical exercises along with this diet, even though it is not exclusively mentioned in the program.
